We continue to closely monitor the situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and are following the recommendations of the Health Departments and the CDC.

Our doors remain OPEN with a focus on the health and safety of our patients and staff. We are currently scheduling patients’ Well Child Checks in preparation for back-to-school season.

For everyone's well-being and to prevent the spread of this virus, we are following these protocols:

  1. We will continue to schedule sick visits by appointment only, and via TeleMed when possible. We are NOT allowing walk-ins at this time.
  2. We continue to regularly disinfect our office, including cleaning between each patient appointment.
  3. All persons entering the hospital must be wearing a mask or face covering over their nose and mouth during the entire duration of your visit. Please wear your own mask as supplies are depleting rapidly and may not be available at the time of your visit.
  4. We are limiting visitors to patients only and 1 well adult. If you are bringing in multiple children for their appointments at the same time and require extra help, or are a mother with a newborn, you may bring an additional adult. All persons entering the hospital must be able to answer NO to the statements in #5 below.
  5. If you have an appointment and identify with any of the following symptoms, please call us to reschedule or for a TeleMed visit:
    1. Fever greater than 100.4º
    2. Fatigue
    3. Respiratory symptoms, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    4. Exposure to someone with COVID-19 in the past 14 days
    5. Placed in self / hospital quarantine by a medical provider
    6. GI symptoms including abdominal pain, diarrhea and vomiting
  6. Complete your paperwork online through the Patient Portal prior to coming to the appointment, if possible, to minimize your time in the waiting rooms.

Thank you in advance for your understanding during this difficult time. Please feel free to call the office for any further questions or information. Stay safe and healthy.

We do not currently offer the Covid-19 vaccine

Children’s Mercy Hospital, COVID-19 testing for children

Due to availability of testing supplies, Children’s Mercy Hospital will be temporarily closing their drive-through testing sites. Routine COVID-19 testing will also NOT be available in their Urgent Care and Emergency Department locations.

If your child is in need of a pre-procedural test, contact Children’s Mercy and a nurse will contact you to arrange testing.
Please continue to check back for updates. Children’s Mercy will get their sites back open as soon as possible.

Children’s Mercy Hospital will start scheduling the COVID-19 vaccine to kids ages 5 to 11 immediately at their vaccine clinics, following a vote Tuesday by a CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) advisory committee to recommend the vaccine for the age group.
Children’s Mercy’s clinics will now be open to those ages 5 up to 22 at Adele Hall Campus and CM Broadway. Appointments are required at all locations and can be made via the Childrens Mercy Patient Portal or by calling the COVID-19 Scheduling Hotline at (816) 302-6300.
Or check with your local pharmacy for COVID vaccine availability.
